The Community Radio Network (CRN), part of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), allows community radio stations all over Australia to share some of the sector’s best news, talk, music and entertainment programs.

The team that produces and presents the long running Radio Adelaide Folk Show in South Australia also prerecords an hour long folk music show each week for the CRN.

The Folk Show can be downloaded by any community radio station throughout Australia. If your local radio station doesn’t already play the program you can advocate for its inclusion by contacting the station manager.

The Folk Show mainly, though not exclusively, covers traditional and contemporary Anglo/Celtic, North American and Australian Folk Music.  A recent program highlighted the FAA’s Australian Folk Music Awards; announcing the nominees and winners and playing many of their tracks.

Performers wanting their music to be considered for playing on the program can contact the coordinator Jane Bower by email jane.bower@bigpond.com.

The Radio Adelaide Folk Show is presented live to air every Saturday at 5pm – 6.30pm on 101.5fm or on line and if missed can be accessed on ‘listen again’ from the Radio Adelaide website.
