Our aligned body Folk Alliance International (FAI) will be holding a hybrid version of its annual Conference in February 2022, both on-line and in-person at its regular location Kansas City, Missouri.
Recently announced by the FAI:
“To protect the health of all delegates, based on survey feedback, and in an abundance of caution regarding the ongoing pandemic, advance proof of vaccination will be required by every attendee at FAI’s 2022 in-person conference in Kansas City next February. Online access will be available for anyone who is not vaccinated or cannot attend.”

Tickets for the 40th anniversary Cygnet Folk Festival to be held in Southern Tasmania on 14 to 16 January 2022 are due to be released on 1 August.

Organisers of the Fleurieu Folk Festival have announced the headline acts for the 2021 festival, South Australia’s only dedicated folk festival which is celebrating its 15th year.
Pete Denahy, Emma Dean, Toby Beard, The Royal High Jinx, Totally Gourdgeous, and Siobhan Owen will perform over the event which goes from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 October.
The three-day event is hosted in Willunga, just 45 minutes south of Adelaide, in the glorious Fleurieu wine region.
It will be preceded by the Australian Folk Music Awards.
