Here’s the latest news regarding The Borderers – Jim Paterson and Denise Alex Alexander. The duo are working on a movie / musical called Maitland Wonder, based on the life of the legendary Australian / Irish boxer Les Darcy.

Film director Paul Boyd ( who’s a business partner with Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics ) is currently writing the screenplay in Los Angeles and will direct the film.  Boyd has directed music videos for Mick Jagger, Shania Twain etc and created an award winning documentary for Stevie Nicks. 

Jim, Alex and Chris John spent the last four years writing the 17 songs, and travelled round the world a couple of times to talk to possible producers and leading actors.
