Returning to active service for FAA is Jim MacQuarrie. As President Steve Bullock will be out of circulation for 3 months,
Jim has re-joined the committee and taken on the role of Chairman until the AGM in August.

The winners were announced at the FAA AGM Concert at Olims Hotel, Canberra on Saturday evening, 25th August. Time and place for award presentations are as indicated below.
Presenters' Choice Award
best new CD in the past year based on voting by Folk radio presenters across Australia.
"Full House" by Wheelers & Dealers
Prize: CD mastering package or recording time to the same value from Blue Mountain Sound.
Presented at Majors Creek Folk Festival during Nov. 16,17 or 18th
Secretary Jan Francis presents the award to Christine Wheeler
Members' Choice Award
best live act voted by the general membership of FAA.
Danny Spooner with the Australian Chamber Orchestra
Being presented at 2008 National Folk Festival
Prize: 2 days live or location recording package from JeeveS Audio Services.
Patrons' Choice Award
best selling CD based on sales returns from major festivals.
"Stand Up" by Blue King Brown
Prize: a Cole Clarke guitar.
Presented by Megan Rowe, FAA News, at the Woodford festival on December 27th
 
Award presentation at Woodford, and guitar delivery back in Melbourne.
Community Choice Award
A person or organisation inspirational in the Australian Folk Community - open nomination.
Nariel Folk Festival -
Presented at The Nariel Creek Folk Festival on 1st January
