TO CREATE A USER ACCOUNT. Firstly you do not have to be a member of FAA in order to place your listings on our Folk Directory but you do have to create a user account. This also gives you control over your listings in the directory and ability to come back and change details whenever you wish.
On the top of the main page or the banner along the top there is:
"User Login" a box that says user name, a blank box and then a small triangular arrow.
Click on the "arrow"
This will take you to a page called "User Login
click on "create a user account"
you can now register as a user.
Email: <your email address> this becomes your user name.
Password <create a password with a min. of 8 alpha/numeric digits
Repeat password: enter same thing again
Address: you home or business address
City/Suburb:
State........select from the drop down list
Postcode.
Click the "submit" button. You will get a notice that says.
"User..... has been saved. Please check your email now and confirm your request by
by using the link provided to activate your account. This will also contain your User Name
and password. Print it off and keep it safe !!You will then get a 2nd email. Click on the link to go back to your browser and a message will tell
your "account has been activated" and a Login Page. Enter the user name and password.You can now do various things: one of which is "Edit Directory Listing"the first thing you have to do is select a Category from the drop down category list.
TO CREATE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS, it takes a bit of work but it can be done following these instructions.
GO TO: www.folkalliance.org.au
1. clik on triangular arrow.at the end of "User Login"
2. click on "create user account"
3. Name - select a name you want to use as a "user name"............ like jacko or chuckles
4. Email: your own email address
5. Password: use min of 8 characters
6. Repeat password - same a used in #5
7. Address 1, this can be duplicated, does not need to be unique.
8. Address 2... leave blank if not req'd
9. City/Suburb.. your's
10.State .. your's
11. Postcode .. yours and then hit the SUBMIT button.
You will see this message
User (whatever you've selected) has been saved.
Please check your email now and confirm using the link provided in order to activate your account.
12. go to your email client and when the email arrives you will have
login: your email address
pwd: the one you selected
13. click on the link to activate your account.
wait a min or so.
14. go back to the FAA site and at User Login in.(your email address)
Sign in using your email address and the password you selected.
click the triangular arrow.
15. you will now see this:
User home | Edit Login Details | Edit Directory Data | My Membership | Logout

15. Click on "Edit Login Details"
16. you will be taken to a page called
CHANGE USER ACCOUNT
17.Change your Login in name to the same that is in the "name" box.
18. you can now login in using the Name you selected and your password and create a directory listing for that account.
You can now go back and create another User Account using the same email address as before. The trick to this is to make sure you change your USER NAME to a unique name every time you create an account.
