Martin's Bio

Martin grew up in Melbourne in the era of the folk into rock transition, cutting his musical teeth on The Bushwackers, Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention amongst others.

He has been involved with the Top End Folk Club for almost twenty years, as Committee Member, Secretary and until recently as President. He remains with the TEFC as now a very ordinary Committee Member.

He is involved in the production of the Top Half Folk Festival, and has been managing and performing with the Darwin bush-band 'Murphy and friends' for over 10 years. He plays the lagerphone and bodhran and sings very badly...

When he is not being a folkie, he is a nurse and midwife who works in information technology in NT hospitals.

He has recently been given access to the administrative access to the FAA website, and this is his first edit...

Please feel free to contact him/me at aussiebloke@hotmail.com
